Nice to meet you
We are the Association of Thai Students in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR, a vibrant society united by a common purpose in March 2022 through a collaborative effort among students from prestigious Hong Kong universities, including the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and City University of Hong Kong, with a passion to create a platform for exchanging experiences, sharing valuable information, and engaging in informal inter-university activities.
2022
Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR are witnessing an increasing number of Thai students enrolling in undergraduate and postgraduate programs yearly. We have gathered as a group of Thai students in Hong Kong on social media since 2012; recognizing this trend, the students from three universities proposed the establishment of an official Thai Students Association in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR. As of 6 June 2023, ATSHM has successfully registered as an official society under the society ordinance of Hong Kong SAR laws. This significant milestone has been made possible with the official support of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Hong Kong SAR (RTCGHK).
We are proud to have established a robust network comprising Thai students from eight prestigious universities in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR, including the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University, and the University of Macau. As of June 19, 2023, our association has reached a membership count of 117 dedicated members.
We are filled with immense optimism and aspirations to actively facilitate and support Thai students who choose to pursue their studies in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR. We strive to open doors to promising career opportunities for Thai students in these regions. Furthermore, we aim to expand our cooperation with other associations within Thailand and the Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and other countries in the near future. Together, we embark on a journey of growth, empowerment, and meaningful connections.
